July 2016, New York NY:

“It’s all about his timing!”  proclaims Resident Magazine Editor-in-Chief Hillary Latos.

Renown for his portrayals as Nicky “Rugrat” Koskoff in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street; as the multi-cultural earthbender “Bolin” in the Nickelodeon animated series The Legend of Korra, and most recently as the fast-talking perpetually nervous attorney “Scott Leavitt” on HBO’s Vinyl, among others, Paul Jeffrey “PJ” Byrne now adds yet another accomplishment to his impressive resume: Resident Magazine cover model!

At a celebratory soiree in the Meatpacking District, Resident Magazine publisher and president Michael Travin, who interviews the actor in the current July issue (The Master of Improv) cited Byrne as the publication’s all-time favorite cover model by way of his outrageous ad-lib posturing with a wine glass atop his head; impromptu jumping on a bed in a luxury hotel amid designer garb; and other unrehearsed non-conventional images of PJ, all of which were shot on location in Los Angeles.

During the red carpet festivities several of the July Resident Magazine interview and pictorial subjects, including  Dr. Christopher Calapai (Stem Cell Guru) and Ramona Singer (Real Housewives of New York) along with Manny Cabo (The Voice), gathered to celebrate with Byrne while praising his artistic triumphs.

Byrne, akin to his theatrical characters, took the accolades in stride as he also lauded The Resident editorial staff, noting that he now has a better choice of roles, and anticipates his next project just as you would expect from any working actor – and cover model!
