Hollywood Director Steven Spielberg was the keynote speakers at this year’s International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust. The theme of the day was “Journeys through the Holocaust”. Mr. Spielberg told the United Nations that it has a great role to play in educating people to prevent genocide.
Mr. Spielberg’s USC Shoah Foundation Institute will mark its 20th anniversary this year. The foundation which Mr. Spielberg founded after the filming “Schindler’s List ” ,has partnered with the United Nations in Holocaust and Outreach programs.
